It's Begining to look a lot like Christmas.....
So it's December 4th already and my birthday is less than twenty days away-man, I'm excited, but also hesistant-I hope and pray everyday that 22 is just as awesome as 21 has been, I intend to live it up! I know it will be if I make it that way! I've been super busy lately and mom and I finally got the house ALL decorated and have plans to go see Grama and Henry later on this month-it'll be GREAT! I'm SO excited to get to go home for Christmas and be with my family-that alone is really gift enough! I'm so blessed to have them all-supporting, loving, encouraging, alive and healthy-what a lucky girl I am. STILL haven't got my xmas cards out, working on it, but our house and Christmas tree look absolutely BEAUTIFUL and our tree is quite breathtaking!!! It's amazing! It's begining to look a lot like Christmas! I LOVE IT! It's such a wonderful time of year, but like anything else in life-only if we choose for it to be wonderful! How cool is this-I have my home, my family, my friends, this blog-cool! Tonight I watched Million Dollar Baby (again) with a good friend and what a great movie-very moving-although I'm not sure I'd want to live either if I was a complete parapalegic-no disrespect to those who are-and God bless each and everyone of you-but to me, that's just not a life-I'm not a quitter, but I really think that I'd rather just die than live like that-I've been through enough. Anyway, it reminded me once again of how very lucky I am-and also how I need to count my blessings everyday-even during the busy, crazy and hectic holiday season-we have to stop and remember what the season is really all about-the possibilities of miracles-and as I always say, "miracles happen everyday regarless of past circumstances or expected outcomes," Jesus' birth proved that and I hope and pray that I am always aware of the little miracles that occur everyday in my life! Thank the Lord! It's 12:19am and I'm pooped, time to give Nellie (my cat) her treats and catch some sleep! What a great day, and when things slow down again (right now my priority is getting back meditating everyday-sometimes twice a day-morning and night-because I REALLY need to do that if I want a sane and happy life) I'll write more!
Happy Holidays!
Many Blessings,
-SL
