A Few Good Men!!! (Not the movie!)

For the majority of my life I have had awesome women surrounding me! And I do mean, totally awesome! My list of female friends is still quite long, and I've been blessed to know great women my entire life!

But, now, much in thanks to my husband, I also have great men in my life! I always had great men in my life, my grandpa's, my dad, my Uncle, my step-dad (well, he was great for a while, but became severely not great after he delved further into alcaholism, but I digress), male teachers, etc....

But now, I not only have great men in my life, but I'm married to one! And despite our differences and tidbits, I have always believed that my husband is a good man! And that's a great feeling!

Along with him came a whole plethera of other good men in my life!

First and foremost, aside from my husband, a good man in my life is my dad, Joe! He and I have come so far and I'm so proud of us! It still brings tears of joy to my eyes when he calls me "daughter," (though he always has!) or returns my phone calls (at 11 o'clock at night even!) or emails me. I am so glad my dad and I went through all that we did to end up here--knowing one another as people, and friends, and being abundantly blessed because of it! We are more appreciative, more real and more honest--and I'm loving every minute of it! My dad is one of my biggest supporters now--always encouraging me, and my marriage, and I'm eternally grateful for that every single day of my life! I love you so much, dad!

Other good men in my life include my husband's friends--with no disrespect intended to their girlfriends/wives, but they are good men too! Coiln's best friend, Yoni! My brother (in-law), Ryan! Colin's friends, John G. & Adam! My father-in-law, Andy! My own male friends, Matt & Mark! My best friend's boyfriend, Levi! Sarah's husband, Mike! My Uncle remains on this "good men," list. He's always been there for me, and even if he wasn't my only Uncle, he'd still be my favorite Uncle! All of the Hunter men, Colin's cousins--and now, my cousin's too! My mom's boyfriend! I can't make a list of good men without counting a downright miraculous one--my surgeon, Dr. Michael Harrison--who was kind enough to send me a wedding gift this past March and remember his "favorite patient!" How cool is that! Even though I don't really talk, or see, Dr. Harrison anymore--I'm truly eternally grateful for his presence in my life! Because the truth is, I would not be sitting here typing this entry without him! He really is a miracle worker, and in this case, it's a good thing I don't have to see him anymore! I'll never forget him though!

I think a lot of the reason I'm happier than ever--not necessarily less stressed than ever--but happier than ever, is because I now have an even better support system in my life that includes women AND men!

I'm surrounded by great men and women, of all walks of life and of all ages--and that's pretty damn cool!

I am definitely a blessed woman, made even more blessed by those in my life!

Thank you, Lord, for each and everyone of them! Please bless them always--they so deserve it!
