Quotes & Better Friday!
My week got so much better!
Yesterday, Dec. 9th, I got so much done and helped a lot of people out, including myself. I typed up the last of my Philosophy and Anthropology notes, helped my friend Kira with a paper and helped Hugh through his difficult day. I also went to Philosophy, learned, had a great dinner of shredded chicken salad at Cafe' Ole (new restraunt in town, I swear, you just can't get bad mexican food in Vegas! Yum!), talked with my mother, and watched a few shows on TV. Extreme Makeover, Full House (my fave!), and I think "Friends," (one of my other faves!) Anyhow, it was a great day!
My Nellie is sitting on my lap and I am going to go get ready for another busy and productive, but also great, day!
I sent out all my Christmas cards and am now going to study for my two finals on Tuesday, but since English is over, I don't have school on Monday! YAY!!!
Anyhow, I"m going to start using a quote or two every single day in here. I used to put one in my paper journal and my philosophy professor, Dr. Towne, provided some great ones in class. So does beliefnet.com so here goes: ta ta for now!
"Self-discipline is when your conscience tells you to do something and you don’t talk back."
-W.K. Hope
*Goes with the one below the next one! Very good!
"Good judgement comes from experience; experience comes from bad judgement."
-Anonymous
"I've heard people say that he or she has not yet found themself. But, the self is something that cannot be found. It is something one creates."
-Thomas Szasz
*This is SO true, and really explains my spiritual beliefs! Awesome!
"Miracles happen every day regardless of past circumstances or expected outcomes."
-Sarah Doan (my own made up quote)
Happy Holidays everybody, stay strong, warm and wonderful!
Many Blessings,
SL
