2006 Rocks....so far!
If y'all thought 2005 rocked for me, 2006 is even better!
I gotta be honest, I was a bit skeptical about this year, 2006, because well, I hate the number 8. You're saying, "Sarah, how the heck does 2006 equal 8? It's 2006 you idot, NOT 8," but see, I have this interest (albeit a bit stupidily) in Numerology. I believe that EVERYTHING holds a shred of truth-and nothing can be 110% wrong or 110% right-that being said, I think there IS something to Numerology*...so, in Numerology every single number (with the exception of 11/22/44-Master Numbers) recudes to a single digit, 1 through 9, so in that fashion-2006 becomes the #8, and the #8 & I do NOT get along.
It's common knowledge that most everyone has lucky numbers, well, it's my personal theory that some of us have UN-lucky numbers, and my unlucky nuber is 8-so when 2006 (or an '8' year in Numerology) was approaching, I got a little hesitant.....
Well, 2006 ROCKS! So far, it's been even better than 2005-more peaceful, more loving, calmer and healthier-in general-just fabulous!
Today (1/14/06), well, now yesterday (it's currently 12:01am) was one of the best days of my life! I got to sleep in until 11am-sort of, more like 10am, the carpet shampooers came and shampooed our carpets and my cat, Nellie Marie, just FLIPPED out! She came running into my bedroom and under my sheets and huddled real close to me-I was so sad that she was scared-but it made me feel good that she came to me-still, after 11 years, almost 12, she knows her mama (ME!) will always take care of her! So wonderful!
I played on the computer, made some serious changes to this blog and then....
My mom signed up for dual pedicures last week at Amethyst Salon & Spa so today we went! Now, I'd never had a professional pedicure before, but you know, it's pretty nice. My mom's been doing my toenails for years and personally I think she does just as well, and better yet, she does them for FREE! :) But, it was nice to be pampered and the salon and spa itself is SO pretty and serene. I'd never actually been to an upclass salon like that-it was really cool! Mom loves her pedicures, but me, I'd rather skip the pedicure and get a facial for only $20 more-THAT is something I'd REALLY love to try!!! :)
Anyhow, after that mom and I went and had dinner at this place called Yummy Grill N' Sushi-okay, I'm NOT a sushi fan-well, technically I'm a vegetarian so I shouldn't have been eating fish at all-I mean "REAL" vegetarians don't-but anyhow-I decided to try ONE peice (seared tuna) and um, yeah, won't be doing that again anytime soon. No offense to those sushi fans or Asian countries who live on the stuff-I KNOW it's healthy and excellent for y'all-I just don't particularly care for it. My mom, however, ADORES it and just loved it! I ate the tempura veggies (SO YUMMY!) and had green tea-oh well, at least I tried it right? Can't ever say we don't like something if we don't try it!
After that Yummy Grill N' Sushi dinner we went next door to Michaels Crafts and I got a new hat box and other box to put my sentimentals in-I desperately need one as my other (original) sentimentals box is overflowing and about to BURST! LOL! It was fun looking around-and since mom paid for the pedicures (it was HER idea, not mine-nice anyway though-thanks mom!) I only spent $20 today, which means I'm STILL not spending like I used to-and am STILL saving for ITALY!!!
Speaking of Italy, my 365 Days of Italy Calendar came in the mail today and it's beautiful-totally going to motivate me to save MORE and MORE for my trip over there!
Anyhow, it's now 12:10am and I'm quite tired, time for bed-I'll write more soon-talk to y'all then!
Take care everyone!
In Light & Love,
-Sarah Liz :)
