Wonderful Weekend!

Well, I've had a wonderful, relaxing, beautiful weekend! It was absolutely lovely here in Vegas, 81* or so, so spring like and enjoyable! I slept, took a walk, caught up on school and some magazines, talked with some good friends and just hung out. It all went by too fast, but it was fabulous none the less. I love weekends, especially Spring and Autumn Weekends! Today, I had lunch at Olive Garden and it was just delicious, as I was sitting there eating my salad and bruchetta, I thought "Man, this is the life. I am sitting here eating a great meal that I'm thoroughly enjoying. It's beautiful weather outside, I look good, I feel good. I've got my health, my family, my friends, my senses, my hair and the money to afford this lunch in a very nice restraunt with plenty of good food, good service and it's clean. I'm breathing, alive and healthy and life just doesn't get much better than this!' Yes, I know, long thought, but I really had it. Oh, btw, I got a low B on my paper for Poetry class that I wrote earlier in the week, I'm kinda ticked cause I thought it was at least a High "B" paper, but oh well--I tried my best and an 82% is better than a "0." I can only do my best, and if I know I did my best, than that's all I can ask of myself. You know what I realized today, Vegas isn't so bad. Sure, it's smoky and loud and chocked full of sex and money and artificiality, but parts of it are really beautiful-and I love my life here today! I couldn't be happier! I'm healthy, and health is a lifestyle. Oh, also, I was watching TV today and it occured to me that ALL of the commericals on TV today are one of the following: RX's (serious pill popping society we Americans are), CARS, BEAUTY/CLOTHING, SALES, FOOD: that's it, nothing else it's either: buy this product, hurry it's on sell; buy this car, be cool; take this pill, it'll solve everything but here's its side-effects (ten miles long); or eat this right now! We need more quality programming on TV today. Anyway, it's 10:30pm and I'm tired so I'm going to bed. Just wanted to rant a little and talk about the many things on my mind, as usual!
