Why am I so tired? But...a great evening with mom!
You know, there's so many things I'd like to write about tonight: how I'm basically a mellow, non-violent person. How I've been zoning out to TV way too much lately. How wonderful it is to have my grandma back home and resting comfortably. Okay, I WILL talk about that. She called me today and it was so great to hear her voice, have her call me and just talk for a bit. It was awesome! My best girlfriends, JoJo and Claudia, also called me today--it was great! Of course, my Colin called too! It's so great when people call me, I just love it! I had a great discussion with dear Claudia and she's always such a joy to talk too; so upbeat and positive and real. Never judges anyone, like my mom, I so admire and respect that. I wish I didn't judge half as much as I do, but alas, it's a quality I've not perfected yet. Oh well, I still have a lot of other great qauliteis and I'm working on it. Poor JoJo is upset today, she's in quite a predicament with her life right now, but it's looking up. She's doing better, just still feeling lousy, I'm totally praying for her. The power of prayer is incredible!!! I pray for all my friends and family. Anyway, I love the month of May! It's one of my favorite times of year! So springy and lovely and renewing! I love it! Anyway, Mother's Day is Sunday and I got my mom a card and a mug at the 99c store. I'm not cheap, it's just all I could afford. The card was like five times the price of the mug--cards are ridiculously expensive now, that's what I should get into--man if I want to write greeting cards, Sarah, make a darn fortune. Hey, in all reality God always provides us with what we absolutely need. I may not have everything I want, but I have everything I need--food, shelter, friends, family, freedom. That's all that counts. That's all that's important in life. That's all that matters! My dad, Joe, always told me to be grateful for the things I don't have and don't want, rather than what I want and don't have. Very good piece of advice, I've never forgotten it. My mother told me the other day that a good indicator of the character of a man is the way he treats his mother. THAT is so true too! (By the way, Colin treats his mom very well! I adore them both!) See, parents do give good advice! My mom and I had a great time tonight going to the Farmer's Market and Wal-mart; I had a great time at WM, I think that means I need to get out more! LOL! It was a really great evening with my mom, we thoroughly enjoyed eachothe'rs company and got a lot of great fresh food at the Farmer's Market. AND I got a new bag at Wal-Mart, that Colin bought for me. It's really pretty, a weekender tote, a subdude pink--really sophisticated and grown up! I just adore it! My dinner was absolutley delicious and I had a wonderful evening! Anyway, I'm tired. I gotta go. Thank you Lord for a beautiful day, please keep my blessings coming!
In Light N' Love,
-Sarah Liz :)
