I Love My Sisters!
I have three younger sisters, this year, they'll be 10, 12 & 18. Kelsey and I are very close, she's the oldest and so we have this comeradati going now that's just so cool! I talk to her at least once, usually three, times a week. I always call the house and talk to the litte ones too--they're not so little anymore, but still, they're my baby sisters. Anyway, usually, when I talk to the younger ones, it's very quick and short. Tonight, I got to talk to Jordan for a good 10, 15 mins. We did fun little quizzes, and then she had me doing madlibs--it was so much fun. When I went to talk to Joely, I said "I love you, Jordan," she goes "I know, just remember, I'll always, always, always love you too, Sarah." That's my Jordan! Joely's doing great too, but she was into the TV, which is fine. Kelsey and I talked off and on for about an hour--I had to keep calling her back between phone calls to and from my mom, JoJo and Colin. I miss Colin today, a lot. I almost drove over to see him tonight, but I decided not to, I can't afford the gas. Our 6 month anniversary is coming up next month and we're going to celebrate it next weekend! I"m really excited! Anyway, enough about him....my point for today is I love my sisters. I've worked really hard to maintain an open, honest and fun relationship with them. Ever since they came into my life 12 years ago, I have just been so blessed. They are such a bright spot in my life and fill me with so much pride and joy. Jordan also shared a poem she wrote with me; that's 3 out of 4 daughters for my dad--3 of his 4 daughters write poetry; Kelsey, Jordan and I. I started when I was 11, like Jordan, and it's just so cool to share that talent with your sisters--it really is. As much I regret having missed their entire childhood, I also look foward to the day when they're all grown up (and I"m much older) and we can all sit around and drink coffee and chat in person. I really look foward to that! It'll be here before I know it though, so I'm also in no hurry for it either. My sisters are just really cool people; beautiful, smart, wise young ladies. Jordan said that she learned today that "it's not where you're going but that you enjoy getting there," you know like "it's not the desitnation, it's the journey." She's so wise, as are Kelsey and Joely. Did I mention they make me proud? So very proud! Anyway, it's only 9pm, but I'm very tired tonight so I'm gonna cut this short. My life is so blessed and my sisters are a major part of that. I love, love, love being their big sister--it's one of my life's greatest honors! I love you girls and I miss you every day! I promise I'll see you in August! Thank you Lord for a wonderful day full of beauty, laughter and joy! As always, Lord, please keep my blessings coming!
In Light N' Love,
-Sarah Liz :)
