My Birthday Dinner!!!

I'm NOT sick! Okay, truth be told, I did have trouble sleeping last night, but when I woke up today, I felt fine. Tired from lack of sleep, but I felt good! Thank God--I'm not sick! Yay!

As is tradition in my family, tonight, my mother, Colin & I went out to my yearly Birthday Dinner! We went to the Top of the World Restraunt (where Colin & I went on Halloween), and what a lovely time it was! We had a beautiful time! The food was fantastic, the company was great and the view was simply spectacular & stunning! We had a truly wonderful time! I got all dressed up (I'll post pictures tomorrow!), as did Colin & my mother. Colin looked so handsome, what a dapper young gentleman I have on my hands; such a nice fiancee' he is! And my mother looked beautiful! And as for myself, well, I felt truly pretty! I love the dress I wore (a sleeveless white and black one)! Yesterday, my mom gave me a pedicure (she gives fantastic pedicures! why pay for them?) and I gave myself a manicure...green polish --for Christmas--all 20 of my nails look just beautiful, and well taken care of, that's important to me. I think I have cute feet, so when my toenails are all painted up and pretty, it's so neat! And my mom gives such great pedicures that I'd honestly rather receive them from her than go pay for them, she's the best at giving them! I used to have a nervous habbit of picking my cuticles, but I've noticed that if/when I keep my hands looking nice--manicured, polished, clean--I don't have such a desire to pick...so that's nice! Anyway, did I mention that Colin looked so handsome? Oh, he really did! We had the best time! The crab Colin & I ordered was absolutely heavenly and almost better than Lobster! To live for! Seriously! The brocolini, potatoes, fruit n' cheese plate; all scrumptious! It was a delicious dinner and I thoroughly enjoyed celebrating turning 25!!! My mom actually went into labor on December 21st, 1983, she was making fudge and SUPRISE! The running joke is even then I didn't listen! LOL! In all seriousness, I was six weeks early, I wasn't due until February 1984....I wanted to enter the world a little early! I just couldn't wait any longer! LOL! I'm so glad I was born, so glad I have beloved friends and family, this life, all of my blessings, and among them, of course, my Colin! What a guy, he drives me nuts sometimes, but he's worth it! I've had a wonderful weekend with Colin (he's been on vacation) and tonight, I couldn't have imainged a better way to kick off the celebration of my birthday! I also got really nice cards from Colin & mom; and a truly touching, beautiful card from one of my best girlfriends, Tessa! It was just lovely! :) I feel so special and so blessed! My last few days of being 24 are going great and turning 25 will be wonderful! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend that was busy, relaxing and fulfilling! Here's to a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy (Early) Birthday to Me!!!

Thank you Lord for this beautiful Sunday, joyful birthday dinner, my life, my love, my mom and everything else You so abundantly bless me with! And most of all, thank you for not letting me get sick this close my birthday...I thank You A LOT for that one! Please bless my 25th year of life as you have my 24th!

In Light N' Love,
-Sarah Liz :)
