Relaxing, Pleasant Weekend!
I had the most pleasant and relaxing weekend this weekend. I can't believe it's already May 7th though, man, 2006 is just whizzin' by! Oh, an with the exception of being poked for a blood draw four times on Friday afternoon, losing my brand new cell phone (that I absolutely adored) yesterday, I still had a pretty nice weekend. I went to Mt. Charleston yesterday with my friend, JoJo and met the most inspiring, courageous brave young lady who's 10 and can't walk. She was amazing, such a strong spirit, really put me in my place-in a good way though. Then, last night I went to see RV, the new movie with Robin Williams-it was funny, and he's a great comedien. Today, I slept in 'till 10:30am and proceeded to spend most of the day on this computer looking up school stuff, federal grants and that sort of thing. I'm going to reapply for Finaicial Aid and apply to UNLV as well and see if I can get a grant--so I can continue my education further without actually having to pay for it. Considering the fact that I am legally disabled and make didly squat, the grant thing should be intact-I hope, let's keep our fingers crossed. This evening, my mom and I made dinner (salad and artichokes) and watched our Sunday Night TV "Grey's Anatomy," and "Desperate Housewives." They were really good episodes and it's just a really cool thing that at the end of the week my mom and I can always count on eachother to be there on the couch together, on Sunday nights, watching our shows--it's very cool actually! I love it! Thanks mom! Friday night I dragged my butt to a poetry reading at my school-the poet was Dean Kostos, who I ignorantly was not aware of. What an inspiring event that was; I came home and wrote eight poems-EIGHT, in about an hour. He read some great poetry and gave me some incentive to write (and read) and further my skill and talent. Anyway, I'll write more about that later, right now, I have to go finish up some Poetry homework--the reading was extra credit-but I really got so much more out of it--I'm so glad I went!!! Poetry class ends this coming Monday, not tomorrow, but next week-and I'm SO glad!! Yay! I'm looking into summer school, but we'll see if I can afford that--anyway, gotta run! I'll write again asap!
Many Blessings All Around to each and everyone, peace, health and happiness--to all of you, not just some!
In Light & Love,
-Sarah Liz :)
