Happy October 2nd!!!

Hello All! Today is Thursday, October 2nd, 2008 and October 2nd is one of my favorite days of the year! Why? I'm not sure, I just really like it! I always have! The weather here in Vegas and in Reno (my hometown) this day of the year is just gorgeous, perfect almost! And, I've always had a sense of peace and calmness on October 2nd. Even in the midst of chaos at times, October 2nd has always held a relative calm for me! Back in Reno, we'd always take our annual trip up to Apple Hill around this time of year, it was great! I loved going up there, I miss it! Those were good times! But so are these! My life is busier now, fuller, richer and wonderful; but I do miss going up to Apple Hill and Apple Valley with my family; those annual trips are some of my most cherrished memories! But, other than that, there's nothing particularly special about this day for me; no anniversary, no special occasion, no birthdays, holidays or anything, I just like this day! Today, and Christmas Eve, are my favorite days of the year! Along with a day in May, I love that month too! Christmas Eve makes sense because it's the Christmas Season, between my birthday and Christmas! But, I just love October 2nd. Today was a great day--the bad part was Colin; my sweetheart of a man isn't feeling good and had to come home early--in fact, I had to go and get him and drive him home :( poor guy. I really want him to get well, it's so important that he's well again. I think he got entirely exhausted this past weekend and it caught up to him, but my babe has got to get better, we're in this together and we don't have time to be sick! But, at the moment, I'm sitting on our bed and he's fast asleep next to me. I'm glad he's sleeping, he needs to rest and relax and get back on his feet and BREATHE again! As scary as it is to not be able to breathe yourself, I think it's even scarier when your loved one cannot breathe. Even though my Colin is sick right now, I love having him here. I wish the circumstances were different, but he'll get better soon, I know he will! Anyway, today was great in spite of that, and hey, nobody died! Yay God! Literally! Anyway, today's weather was rather hot for this time of year, (even for Vegas) but beautiful none the less! I ran errands, went to math class, learned something there (decimals is what we're studying now!), and prepeared for my job interview tomrorow! I'm on a roll as far as going to interviews! I don't mind them anymore, I'm getting quite good at them, actually! :) But, I am hoping and praying I get this job tomorrow, I really, really, really want it! :) Let's pray, okay, please, I need a job, I WANT this particular job and I really think I can get it! Well, at least I have a chance at it! The lady on the phone (who called me for the interview) sounded very nice and I'm looking foward to the interview! I've done my research, have my outfit picked out and am ready to go! So, wish me luck! I know that there are so many deserving people out there, so many people are unemployed; the economy is tough, and getting tougher every day. I know so many people out there need and want jobs, my prayer is that they all find one too! I know I'll get the job I'm supposed to get and end up working where I'm supposed to work! But I sincerely hope, I have hope in my heart, that all those out there who are working at getting a job, get the one that's right for them! That is my prayer for others tonight! And of course, my prayers for my family, my friends, my sweetheart and this entire nation! We're at a turning point, folks; pay attention, listen up and watch out! Thank you Lord for this incredible day and the pure enjoyment of one of my favorite days of the year! And thank you, most of all, Lord, for the opportunity to be there for my sweetheart, to help take care of him and for helping him get better...and for giving him a job full of great co-workers who are more than understanding! We both are truly blessed! Happy October 2nd, everyone, here's to the rest of the month--one of my favorite months of the year! Let's have a great October!

In Light N' Love,

-Sarah Liz :)

P.S. Colin and I have been engaged one year and one day now! We hit our one year "Engagement Anniversary," yesterday and had a nice time sharing dinner from our favorite Greek Food Restraunt last night! So yummy, so fun and so cool! :)
