Happy Labor Day! The Best Weekend!!! :)

To all the hard-workers of America; men, women, younger or older! Full-timer's, part-timer's, and even those who work hard at home! HAPPY LABOR DAY!!!

This has been the BEST weekend!

Colin and I have thoroughly enjoyed each other's company! Until this morning, when my babe had to return to work, we reveled in the togetherness of our life and our home! We went grocery shopping together, center-piece hunting, wedding/engagement party planning and just relaxed! We cooked some yummy meals, watched a movie, talked a lot, dreamed about the future, planned what's next for us, and reflected on our year of living together! We got to chill out, rest up and just enjoy one another! It was fabulous!

We did have chores to do, but we did them, together, without a struggle or a complaint! I did some homework, he played his video game and we slept a lot! We hit the pool/jacuzzi in our complex, and that was positively lovely! It was perfect weather for a late-night swim, and a perfect mix of clouds and sun during the days! It was almost like a little vacation! At least it was for me! Sometimes, just being with certain people at certain times (this weekend it was my man), can feel like a vacation! No, we didn't do anything esepcailly important or spectacular! We didn't leave our town. And we didn't spend a lot of money! We just enjoyed the everyday-ness of every day life! We got some things done and balanced work and play! And it was absolutely blissful! Just purely blissful!

And no, not every weekend can be like this; a perfect mixture of real-life and relaxation. Of hanging out together and time to ourselves! A perfect mix of reading for pleasure, and reading for fun! A perfect mix of my TV shows and his! A perfect mix of time with & for my friends, and time with and for my man! A perfect mix of reality and dreams; of quiet moments and time to talk! Real communication, with or without words, depending on the moment! A perfect mixture of serene contentment and moments of cordial debate and compromise! A perfect mix of getting stuff done and taking it easy! No, not every weekend can be as fantastic as this one has been, all I know is that I enjoyed every moment of it, immensely and fully!

So, once again, Happy Labor Day to everyone! I hope it's been fun, safe and enjoyable for you too! And thank you, Colin, for such a weekend!
