Cleaning Out...

Hello Everyone! Short entry today, but I just had to share the fact that I finally cleaned out my pantry & fridge! Yay! I despise throwing out food, but some of it just had to go--there was no saving it, and I got rid of a lot that was WAY past its experation date. Best of all, I finally know what I have in there, and what I can cook with! And actually, I don't need much of anything, except of course, fresh produce--a summer time favorite--or year round, actually, but you get my jist! I also need flour, but other than that, nope--I have a very well stocked pantry/fridge/freezer--thank you, HJ (mom's friend!). Anyway, it's the birthday of my favorite little girl today, and I just can't believe she's 5 years old! Wow! Man oh man, 5 years has just FLOWN by. Five years ago right now, I was driving back from Oregon (to Reno). Actually, I was on I-5 and I-80 (South and West, respectively) from Redding, CA. to Fernley, NV. I made my mom meet me at my Grandma's house becuase I was SO SICK of driving! I had driven 3,000 miles ALONE! Wow! You know, that sounds so great right now, actually! Yes, I just had a vacation, but since I didn't actually go much of anywhere (except home), I feel like I need to get OUT of Vegas by CAR! I love roadtrips, I haven't taken one (or a solo one) in quite some time, I'm due for one. Perhaps later this month, we'll see. I still want to see th ocean, but I'll get there when I'm 'sposed to, I'm happy in my life right now (or at least, today!)--I don't feel the need to escape from anything, it'd just be nice to get away for a weekend, you know. I think I'll wait a bit because so far, it's not too hot this summer...which is nice, today it's only around 105*, which is hot, but not for Vegas in JULY! Last night, I had a busy but beautiful night at work, and learned all about colors too--it was great! (Yes, I already knew my colors but lately, they've fascinated me--their history and wavelength and symbolism, it's terrific!). Then, when I got home I had the BEST meditation session in a LONG time, oh it was blissful! I got the best night's sleep I've had in a while and have so much energy today! I feel just great! Yesterday afternoon I felt like crap--just emotionally and spiritually--I knew I needed to meditate, but I just couldn't do it until last night. Most meditators will reccomend you meditate first thing in the morning, and I do that a lot, but sometimes, I just have to wait until I'm in the mood--and sooner or later, at some point, I do get in the mood. I crave it almost--it was just so great to be sitting on my bed, in the peace & quiet and just BREATHING and BEING! Yeah, so cool! Thank You, Lord, for that truly awesome experience last night! Anyway, Happy Birthday to my favorite little lady, SQ, you are an angel and one of the greatest joys in all of our lives--any of us that know you that is! I'm so glad your parents had you and I'm looking forward to the next 5 years, which will go by so fast, I know! Sheree, thank you for having your little girl and to you and your hubby for being such amazing friends and parents! :) Okay, gotta run! Thank You Lord, for this beautiful, wonderful and oh so productive day!!!
