Sports & Football: My Favorite Teams

I really don't like sports too much, and I couldn't tell you one fact about sports or sports history. I purposely try to avoid watching most sports, especially basketball, hockey, tennis and boxing.

I generally believe that TV sports are way too overated, and pit person against person way too much. I think athletes are HIGHLY OVERPAID and over idolized! I think commerical sports are generally dumb and are given too much time, thought and attention in this country....BUT, I do enjoy watching occasional baseball and football, and I DO believe that actually playing sports and being on a TEAM is a GREAT thing....

I think learning and knowing how to cooroperate within a team, put others' needs and desires before your own, and build partnership and sportsmanship are great! Sports, when actually played (instead of just watched and idolized on TV) can be a great thing for physical activity and fitness, wonderful at helping to teach math skills and coordination and most importantly, playing sports teaches us how to lose gracefully, learn from our mistakes and try harder again the next time!!!

That being said, here's my favorite football teams.....


My favorite NFL Football Teams are:

A) San Francisco 49ers

B) Tennessee Titans

C) New England Patriots

D) Philadelphia Eagles

E) San Diego Chargers

F) Minnesota Vikings

G) Denver Broncos


Here's why I like these teams:

A) I spent ALOT of time in San Francisco, ALL of my sugeries were done there until I was about 20 years old. So, although I grew up mainly in Reno, I was always raised at UCSF, so of course I have to root for the 49ers. Although they're nothing compared to what they once were, it's still the closest thing to a "hometown team," I'll probably ever have! TOUCHDOWN 49ers!!!!

B) It's Nashville's team, and since I like country music so much, and Nashville, I have to like the Titans! I think they ROCK!!!

C) Oh come on, you can't like football and NOT like this team. The Patriots are the CHAMPS, and the BEST! I liked them even back in the mid90s though, they're just a cool team-all American name too!!!

D) I didn't like them until a few years ago, now I do, I have a really cool official team hat of the Philly Eagles, and I think their uniforms are nice. Yes, I'm a total girl, I know! LOL!

E) I just have always liked the Chargers, I think it goes with the whole loving the beauty of California and most things associated with it like food, wine, cheese, trees, sunshine and its football teams too!

F) Again, being a total girly, girl, I LOVE any man that has enough nerve to wear a great shade of purple. I LOVE the Vikings' uniforms and I think they play well and fair!

G) My mom is THE biggest Denver Bronco's fan EVER! She's worse than any man I know when it comes to the Bronco's. When they play, I basically move out of my house for the day, until I know they've won, and if they lose, I make sure mom's in bed before I come home. I love the woman, but her Bronco's dedication is pathetic! Anyway, if I DIDN'T say the Bronco's, I think I might have to find a new place to live! LOL! I'm tell y'all, when the Bronco's and the 49ers play one another-oh, oh, it is NOT a pretty picture in my house-it's WAR!!! Pretty stupid I think, but that's just the way it is and will always be in my mothers' house! LOL!

There's a few teams I DON'T like too, although they all have talented athletes on these teams, I just don't care for them: Cowboys, Steelers, Raiders-they don't play nice and they don't play fair, imho.....
