It Can Change in the Blink of an Eye...Miracles Do Happen

I know it's been almost ten days since my last entry, but there's a very good reason for that-

I have good news and bad news, let's start with the good news:

they're okay, they're not badly hurt, sore, banged up and bruised-but coherent, alive and well.

The bad news is:

My grandmother and her husband Henry were in a very bad car accident on Wednesday, the 1st. They were traveling back from Texas (they were RV-ing) in Kingman, Arizona and about 4:30pm in the afternoon, about 30 miles East of Kingman, they were sucked into a wind current by a swiriving semi-truck and then pushed back out and rolled over down the embankment 3 times. The car and the RV were completely totalled. When mom and Henry went back to Kingman this afternoon to suvery the damage, my mom said that she hasn't even seen anything like that in her life and never wants to again-she and Henry both said that by all logic, they should be dead. But they're not, thank God!

By the increidbly amazing grace of God Almighty, BOTH of my grandparents are fine-considering what happened-they're in wonderful condition. They're both in their 70s so this will take a while for them to fully recover from, but they will, they're tough old people with very strong spirits-and wills. They may be older, but obvioulsy, they not done, and that's awesome because I sure cannot imagine my life without them-especially my grandma.

Anyway, they're staying here at the house with me and mom and we're taking care of them-mom has the weekends off now which is a Godsend-so that's good. It's actually nice to have them here, of course this wasn't the condition any of us would've liked to be together in-but that's the silver lining to anything "tragic," and in all reality-this wasn't tragic-because they're still here-it's a miracle-but the point is-hard times bring us together-especially my family. We're there for each other, and that counts for a lot. I know how often I think about, pray for and thank God for my family-all of them, and life itself, but this situation has just deepened that even further and remined me-again, to take EVERY moment and soak it up....thank God for the PEOPLE in your life whom love you and you love back-and count your blessings (and they do NOT include most material things)....family is strong, faith is required, miracles do happen and life is preicous-and it can all be gone in the blink of an eye.

Thank you God, from the bottom of my heart, for sparring my grandparents, I'm eternally grateful and so are they!

Many Blessings!

In Light & Love,
-Sarah Liz
