Dec. 21st...Happy Monday, Last Monday @ 25, Beating Grandma @ Solitaire

I'm having the most terrific time @ home w/ my grandparents; got my toes done (luxurious pedicure), my hair cut, eaten tons of delicious fresh food & whooped my Grandma's butt @ Solitare---beating her 2x's in a row! Score! So much fun! I love being home 4 the holidays! I'm enjoying a real life gorgeous Winter Wonderlan...d! Happy Monday, 2 days 'till 26!!! Merry Christmas!

In two days, it's my birthday and I am so excited! I was excited and happy before, but when I found out a few minutes ago that actress Brittany Murhpy just died yesterday at 32, now I'm even more overjoyed to be turning 26. I GET to turn 26, I get to experience another day, another year...I GET celebrate turning 26 with my mom, my grandma and my grandpa. And while I do wish my husband was here, I really miss him a lot, I'm having a fantastic time!

Part of me wants to sit and write a whole big entry @ how 25 was this and that, but right now, I don't feel like looking back, or even really, looking forward! I'm simply enjoying the moment--the food--the company, the fact that I'm in a winter wonderland and I'm stuffing my face with amazing food every chance I get....speaking of which, I think it's time for another cookie.....

I also feel a poem coming on, so, hopefully that'll come out at some point today or tomorrow. I am looking forward to seeing my childhood best friends tomorrow, 1 of which I've not seen in 7 years..it should be great.....almost as great as beating Grandma at Solitaire two times in a row! I practiced and practicied and told her I'd whip her butt and I did, twice! Yay!

Being pampered in the salon this morning was fun too--hair cut, pedicure...absolutely blissful! My hair looks great, my feet look so pretty and I feel like a new woman! Thanks, Grandma!

The plane ride here was fun too, I gave myself one heck of a good laugh when I got on the wrong tram to get the gates yesterday, but I found the gate I was supposed to be at soon enough. The flight was good, I was nervous, but overall, it was fun! I loved watching all the people (I get my people watching habbits from my dad!) and meeting fellow Reno natives like myself--it was very neat!

Anyway, I am going to go out in the living room now, spend time with my grandma and eat some more delicious cookies....pretty much my birthday/Christmas gift(s) this year was the gift of eating--fresh, delicious, out of this world, yummy food!

Merry Christmas everyone, have a fabulous holiday & R.I.P. Brittany Murphy--I'll definitely celebrate my birthday with much more vigor now....you will be missed and I will enjoy being 26!!

Goodbye 25!

Thank you, Lord, for another day--another birthday, safe travels here and there and most of all, the precious gift of family! I could not be more blessed! (I miss my husband though!)
