Today I'm Grateful For...

*Two full hours of not struggling to breathe....hasn't happened lately, so beyond descriptively wonderful!

*A peaceful morning with Colin

*The long, lengthy chat I had with my best friend, Tessa, last night & laughing SO hard we both cried! It just felt fabulously good! It reminded us of how we still have our sense of humor, despite the chaos that life has become for both of us!

*DVR: I know, I know..normally, I pride myself on NOT watching a ton of TV...but here's the thing--with DVR...you can record your favorite shows, watch them when YOU want to (or can find the time) and best of all, FAST FORWARD through the commercials when you do watch them! It's blissful!

*On a TV-watching note, I'm really grateful today for Joyce Meyer's TV show "Enjoying Everyday Life," she's pretty much my favorite Christian Author/Preacher and though I don't go to church, I do spend 25 minutes of my day now watching and listening to her talk about enjoying my every day life and expanding my walk with the Lord! Hey, at least I'm doing something!

*The new poem I wrote last night, inspired by everything--everyone's struggles lately--mine, my husband's, my mother's, Tessa's, the CAR--the wording of that poem is exquisette--I'm so proud! And while it may not be the most positive thing I've ever written, it is so very true!

*The fresh air and a screen door that locks so I can keep the big sliding glass door open!

*The sunlight! Bright, big & beautiful! I need it!

*The cooler temprature of the nights around here! Awesome!

*All the pretty colors I can see--green, yellow, purple, pink and so on! Sight is such a blessed gift!

*My mama saying she was proud of me last night when I won a book by submitting a winning recipe on Alisa Bowman's Blog! That was pretty cool, I'll admit. I'm 25 and married, but you know what, there are few things in this world that make me feel as good as the words "I'm so proud of you," coming from my mother's mouth!

*Hanging out with her last night, watching "Friends," and eating simply delicious COFFEE ICE CREAM!

*Coffee Ice Cream--particularly from Fresh & Easy!

*The lucious, wonderful smell (mint, grass & flowers) of John Frieda's new Root Awakening Shampoo--I found it in my "bathroom box," while unpacking a few a days ago. It's a few samples of it, and oh my gosh--it smells AMAZING! I may have to buy it just so I can sniff my hair all day long! LOL!

*Having a sense of smell

*Being able to type and move my fingers/toes/arms/legs!

*Cute eyeglasses that help me see better

*The ability to read

*The beautiful leaf candle holder on my coffee table and the green/rustic orange/olive green 'vase' next to it that ties everything in the living room together!

*My husband hanging up ALL of the pictures, frames & decor in our apartment--it's one of his gifts--hanging things so nice, neat & straight--and he doesn't even use a Level. He should seriously consider doing that for a living because he totally rocks at it!

*Emails from my other best friend, Miss Claudia! How I love her too!

*Hearing from my sister, Jordan, today. Sorry she's sick, but it was nice to talk to her on FB, even if only for a moment!

*Hearing from my sister, Kelsey, this past weekend! Always a treat!

*Candles

*Comfy pillows and a bed to sleep in & couch to sit on

*Hearing

*The really cool white paper lanterns that hang on our porch & light up @ night!

*The ability to feel pain (back, etc) because it means that my nerves are working, my brain is working and even though at times it can be difficult, ultimately, it means that I am ALIVE!

*Every breath I take without a struggle!

Thank you, Lord, for it all!

In Light N' Love,
-Sarah Liz :)
