HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Today is the first day of 2006, and so far, it's a pretty good year! My mom made me a delicious breakfast of her world famous hasbrowns-oh so dang good! YUM! Fresh coffee, OJ and mom's hashbrowns-really, HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ME!!! :) I got to SLEEP IN later than I have slept in, in MONTHS! I slept until 12:30pm, and I went to sleep about 1:30am this morning, so that means I got a FULL 11 hours of sleep-WHO-HOO!!! I do have a bit of a headache this morning though because I had a TINY bit of sparkling wine last night and I think I might have a little too much. LOL! Oh well, it was New Year's-and that's pretty much the ONLY day of the year I allow myself to drink! Anyhow, it was fun! It was a very uneventful New Year's Eve-I spent it at home in my PJ's with my mother, and we just hung out all night. My mom had it off from work this year which is a rarity in the casino business (mom's a blackjack dealer), we watched movies, and chatted. The best part was my grandma's called me as well as my dear friend, Claudia, which it's always great to get phone calls from people you love! Anyhow, I rang in the New Year twice, once at 9pm PST when New York actually rang it in and then again and 12am PST midnight MY time, officially, with my mom who actually STAYED UP for it this year! That's amazing! LOL! Anyhow, I also spent part of the night reading other peoples' blogs on this blogger.com website, so I thought I'd post a few and share them with you. Once I figure out how to do that, I'll let you know! LOL! Anyhow, I don't have much else to say except HAPPY NEW YEAR and may this year of 2006 be even better than the last-it feels good to have a new year-it's time, it's right, it's supposed to be. 2005 was the best year of my life, but you know, the fun/lessons don't have to stop there-they'll both continue on in this new year-of course, I don't need a NEW YEAR to celebrate life or new beginings-because I think each and every new DAY is cause to celebrate those! So, HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
