My 10 Favorite Things Right Now

Here's a list of my ten favorite things right now...not people, but things!

10.) My unmade bed: I usually make it every single day, really. But, these last three days, I just have been so busy, I haven't gotten around to it. It's kinda driving me crazy, but in some way, it's very freeing. I'm feeling a sense of freedom having an unamde bed. (Yes mom, I will make it. And yes, you're right, a made bed makes the room cleaner and more put together.)

9.) Cortaid Roll-On Stick: it's awesome! Just like Cortozone or Anti-itch cream, but better! No messy creams or ointments, just like a roll-on perfume, you just roll it on and the medicine stops the itch! Where were these ten years ago? Why didn't I think of that? Awesome!

8.) My English 100 class being OVER and DONE with! Yay! Big stress off my shoulders!

7.) My phone conversation tonight with my second cousin, Carla: My Great Aunt Patricia's (Pat) daughter. Pat died almost fifteen years ago, and I don't remember Carla. But I sure enjoyed talking with her and learning about Aunt Pat. I never knew her either, we'd have been best friends though, mom and grama say I'm just like her! I miss her! It was great to connect an old bridge as they say!

6.) My big blue robe and furry slippers: it's December and it's cold! My robe was a bargain at Mervy's for $17 two years ago, some of the best seventeen bucks I ever spent. It's cozy and warm and cute! My slippers, god bless slippers! It's chilly here in Vegas-really!

5.) My bookcase: filled with all sorts of books, poetry books, my books and so on. A rose candle, crystal book ends, pictures, more candles and Minnie Mouse Stuff all adorened on a tall, three shelf-bookcase with a secret cubbord down below (free storage). It's totally me and really expresses my favorite things and my style! I love it!

4.) The Ferro Roche' Christmas Commercial: the one where the different sounds of various doorbells make up the song "Deck the Halls," that's really cool and very creative! I also love the Target Christmas commercials, all done in one color at a time, so cool! I've always loved Tar-jay!!!

3.) The five carnations (four white, one red) in a big cylinder vase on my kitchen counter: I bought them last week, they're still alive and beautiful! They're so pretty and I got 'em on sell, a buck a piece, can't beat that! I LOVE fresh flowers!

2.) The fact that I'll be 21 two weeks from tomorrow!!! Yay!

1.) My Christmas Tree: so beautifully breathtaking! So pretty, nicely decorated, tinsley, fun and festive!

*Extra: The songs "Good Ole Days" "I'll Take That as a Yes," and "Black and Whites" (Phil Vassar). "Nothin' On but the Radio" (Gary Allan). "When I Think About Cheating" "Here for the Party,"(Gretchen Wilson). And Billy Dean's new video!!!

Many Blessings,

Jane Magazine's 'Five Questions Really Key Questions!'

I like to answer questions and I love doing interviews. Even though I'm not famous, I love to be interviewed. Or so I pretend. LOL! Anyhow, I was reading my current issue of "Jane," magazine, which every month I get in the mail, and every month I debate over whether or not I love or hate the magazine. Anyhow, there are some good things in it, and here's one of my favorites: they always ask all the celebrities the same five questions. So, I thought, I'd answer them. They're off the wall questions, but good ones none the less. Here goes:

Are you repressing any urges?*
Right now? I would love to go Christmas shopping and buy lots of presents for my mom, grama and sweetheart (and ok myself too)! But, seeming as how I'm broke and am sick of being broke, yes, I'm repressing that urge. It's not like I really need anything anyway, I have enough crap as it is. I'm also repressing a huge craving for my favorite cheeseburger in the world-an In N' Out Double Doube w/ Double Meat and Double Cheese! I swear, they're as good as sex!!! LOL!

What's the worst you've ever screwed someone over?*
Honestly, I don't think I've ever really done that. I've never screwed someone over on purpose. But, I guess...mmm, I really don't know. I guess that's a good thing.

Who's on your "celebs to make out with" list right now?*
Oh, Keith Urban! Who else? Jude Law, I never really liked him before, and still don't know why he's People mags sexiest man alive, but I saw him in "Closer," the other night, (bad movie, do not waste your time and money) and he looks like a really good kisser! I love to kiss, but my favorite kisser of course is my boyfriend, he's a great kisser even if he doesn't think so!

Have you ever faked an orgasm?*
LOL! Yes, yes I have. Once or twice maybe, but luckily, I don't have to do that anymore. Thank God! I think every woman's done that, sometimes, you just have to. It's cruel, and misleading, but hey, so is life!

What style trend would you rather die than be caught following?*
Plaid. I hate plaid. I never liked it but for some reason, growing up, I always ended up in it. I hate plaid, it looks very confused and ugly and repressed. Yuck! I'm not a fan of polka-dots either, give me a break!

Christmas Traditions and Better Finances!

Christmas Traditions and New Year's Resolutions: Wed. MeMeMe

1. What holiday traditions mean the most to you?
I'd have to say the Christmas Tree we put up and decorate every single year whether or not we have the money for presents to go under it. Every ornament on the tree has a story and a memory behind it, it's like a snapshot of our lives, on one beautifully-lit, tinsled tree! I do a Christmas show every year, in which I sing Christmas songs and read some of the poems I've written since last Christmas. That's always fun, and selfishly, I like that during that hour or so show, it's all about me. LOL! Sorry, but I do! Also, every year on Christmas Eve, we read "The Night Before Christmas," and open up one small present. We've always done that, and for the last four years, I've read TNBC, it's a great poem that is still a Christmas favorite for me! I love doing that! For me, with my birthday being on the 23rd, I have a tradition of taking a nice, long, hot candle-lit bubble bath the night before my bday on the 22nd. I sit in the tub and reflect on the past year, and where I want to go and what I want to do in the next year. It's a very peaceful time that's all for me, I've done it since I was 10 years old, turning eleven, so this is actually the 10th Anniversary of my "Birthday Eve Bubble Bath." Just for the record, I do shower everyday, not just on my birthday eve. LOL!

2. What means the least to you?
The turkey. I never understood why we have Turkey on both Thanksgiving and Christmas. I think it's pointless. Turkey is good all year long and at Christmas, let's have some crown roast, or ham, or better yet, lobster or something! I do like turkey, but that Christmas turkey would be the one that I kinda don't appreciate. Maybe I should though! This year, I'm going to my grama E's and we're having Goose, so that's good. I think, I've never had goose, I hope I like it. I think I will, I love trying new foods!

3. If you could create a new tradition, what would it be and why?
I was just thinking about this last night. I know it's the holidays, but I would have a Christmas/Birthday party every year. That way, one sweep, and we're done. Also, my greatest wish is to someday have my sisters, my mother, both of my grandmothers and me all celebrating the holidays together. The chance of that happening is like yeah right. But, I hope someday it can be done. Hopefully, when I'm older, have my own home and can call the shots! LOL!

4. With 2004 drawing to a close, how would you grade yourself on your resolutions from last year?
I screwed up bigtime on my finances and money situation(s). I did do a great job of controlling my emotions my better and speaking positive affirmations when I was in a bad mood or ill. So, that's good. I also did pretty good not picking my fingers (I pick my cuticles alot-it's my nervous habbit). I fell of the wagon in the last week or two, but I'm really hoping to get back on it and stop picking again soon. I will once finals are over and things calm down a bit. Well, at least not everything at once. LOL!

5. What are you planning to resolve to do in 2005?
My BIGGEST new year's resolution for 2005 is to get my finances in order. Get a job, a real one, and get my money together. I'm only 20 something and am already $1,200 in debt, that's just stupid and nobody's fault but my own. If I don't do something about this now, it'll bite me in the ass later on. There's no excuse for me not to have money and no excuse for my excessive spending (only at certain times though) when I don't have the money to begin with. So my NYR is to stop spending so much, start saving a lot, hoard my money and get my finances under control. When I do that, I think I will finally be an adult. Please don't judge me, this took a lot of time to admit it to myself and I have an actual plan-so we'll see how it goes! My other NYR is to not be so angry and tempersome. I'm not an angry person by nature, but this year, certain things would just set me off and the temper I apparently have is not something I want. I've asked God for His help and am trying my best to control my temper and my anger. That's how I want to improve not just in 2005, but for every single year after!

Great questions, I really enjoyed doing these, thanks again David for the model! You're great!

Gotta go take my English final and I'm DONE, DONE and DONE with that class-thank you sweet Jesus-seriously!

Many Blessings & Happy Holidays,
