God is Shouting & Mother Nature is Ticked Off:

Over the past ten months, from December 2004 to October 2005, over 130,000 people have died as a result of “Natural Disasters.”

There’s been a Tsunami in Asia that outright changed the continental structure of Earth; a Hurricane called Katrina that wiped out several major U.S. Cities, namely New Orleans and Biloxi; a Gautemalan Mudslide; and a Pakistani Earthquake.

Mother Nature seems to be wreaking havoc on our Earth, and God seems to be weeding us out by the thousands.

To say that all these “natural disasters” are natural would be a mistake. I can’t say for sure we’re living in “End Times,” but it’s not an idea I entirely disagree with either.

I used to roll my eyes when my devout Christian friends would say, “the end times, they’re comin’,” Now, I think they might have a point.

I don’t know when these times will officially end. There is no textual proof in any religious scripture of when and how God will rise again, but I think He is well on His way.

It is possible that God is just up there laughin’ it up; shaking his head in disgust-making us pay for the ways that we’ve completely disregarded and disrespected His creation(s) for hundreds of years? Probably.

This God’s way of making us sit up and take notice; His way of bringing us together; His way of preparing us for what’s to come. The latter is a very scary thought, but truthfully, humans have a weird way of totally ignorning one another until disaster strikes, and then (and only then) do we reach out and go “hey, are you okay? What can I do to help?” Sad isn’t it? I think so too.

God and Mother Nature are definitely trying to tell us something, in fact, they’re not just talking anymore-Thy're shouting-loud and clear, and it’s high time we started listening!

I used to plan my life; always having a clear vision of where I’d be in ten years; now, I just hope to be here.

I no longer need to know where I’ll be ten years from now, because even if Earth is still here, I might not be. None of us truly knows when our time is up, all we can do is make the most of each and everyday we have.

That is what Mother Nature is trying to teach us; to soak up each moment, live life to the fullest, to take care of ourselves and of each other. It all starts within and I bet that if we all started within-taking time for ourselves, and eachother-shut out the clutter and excess noise, learn to love the silence (which is golden), and make a conscious effort to be kinder, gentler and more compassionate; we might just tilt this Earth back on to a more loving, peaceful axis.

Epilogue:
If the Earth and I are still here in ten years, here is my hope:

I hope to be continuing improving upon myself. I hope to still be praying and believing in all loving, all-knowing God that allows us the beautiful gift of Free Will.

I hope to be still allowing God to handle the big stuff, and still enjoying my day to day life with love, health and peace.

I hope that at the very least, I can wake up everyday, not knowing what will happen, but still recognizing the beauty in that.

I hope to still be belieiving in a more positive way of life; because I may not be able to save the world, but I can save myself; and really, that’s all God asks of us.

And if I can’t do all of the above stated; I’ll die trying.

In late December 2004, a major tsunami took 8,500 lives in Thailand and caused massive destruction of property in the southern provinces of Krabi, Phangnga, and Phuket.
